"Guitarist Charmaine Slaven and fiddler Joe Fulton of the Tallboys on Friday, May 12 at Conor Byrne Tavern. The band, made up of Slaven, Fulton, John Hurd on the bass and Charlie Beck on the Banjo, describe themselves as an old time string band, but could easily be described as old time pub revival. The vitality of their music surged through the capacity crowd eliciting hoots and hollers from all quarters. And I'm here to tell you, that woman Charmaine Slaven can dance."
